Apply a chosen percentage to the 1991–2020 monthly rainfall average. This is a sensitivity exercise, not a climate projection.

Blue bars: chosen assumption. Orange marks: historical monthly average. Calculation: each reference month × (1 + chosen percentage / 100). Seasonality is held fixed.

What this can explain

How a percentage change affects rainfall totals, and how an assumption differs from an observation. Try wetter and drier conditions and compare the monthly amounts.

What it cannot predict

Flood extent, water depth, storm intensity, river flow or future conditions in a particular year. Those require appropriate climate projections, local data and modelling.

Map demonstrations

The original flood, heat and dry-season layers are still available as interface examples. Their shapes and 2050 labels are synthetic.
